Corona Protection
Eltacarbs are used for the slot corona protection of high-voltage windings in electric machines. The conductive fleeces Eltacarb 73.000, 73.001 and 73.002 are available. In most cases, the outermost layer of the main insulation may be covered with Eltacarb 73.000 or 73.002.
Eltacarb 73.000 may be used for both resin-rich (RR) and vacuum-pressure-impregnation (VPI) technologies.
Eltacarb 73.001 is suitable for use with specific PET-film-backed main wall insulation foils in resin-rich insulation technology.
Like 73.000, Eltacarb 73.002 may be used with both RR and VPI, but has a higher resistance.
